On this tour, JG Thirlwell (compositions / laptop) will be joined by Angharad Davies (violin), Tim Parkinson (piano), Nozomi Cohen (viola), Rachel Steadman (violin), Adam Morris (percussion) and Jessica Cox (cello), with Katy Cox filling in on cello on just the Munich date.

Manorexia London show announced

JG Thirlwell’s Manorexia will play a rare London show on April 12 2012 at Union Chapel. The show is being presented by All Tomorrow’s Parties in conjunction with the First Contact agency. The ensemble will include previous Manorexia UK stalwarts Angharad Davies, Tim Parkinson and Dan Gresson, along with former alumni Jessica Cox and Rachel Steadman. The instrumentation of the ensemble is two violins, viola, cello, piano, concert percussion and laptop. Tickets are on sale now via Gigantic, See Tickets and HMV. More European Manorexia dates will be announced soon. The latest Manorexia album is the acclaimed Dinoflagellate Blooms, which is available in stereo and 5.1 surround sound .

I'll Be Your Mirror streaming mixtape

The All Tomorrow’s Parties “I’ll Be Your Mirror” music event, curated by Portishead, will occur in Asbury Park on Sep 30 – Oct 2. Manorexia will perform on Oct 2. To celebrate the event, All Tomorrows Parties are streaming a “mix-tape” of the artists that will appear.

Artists on the “mixtape” include Manorexia, Oneida, Portishead,  Battles, A Hawk And A Hacksaw, Cults, Neutral Milk Hotel, Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, Swans, Deerhoof, The Pop Group, Beak>,  Chavez, DD/MM/YYYY, Hannibal Buress, Shellac, People Of The North, Anika, Earth, The Stars In His Head , Factory Floor, Company Flow, Thought Forms,  and many more.

The lineup of Manorexia for the ATP show will be JG Thirlwell (laptop / compositions), Leyna Marika Papach (violin), Elena Moon Park (violin), Karen Waltuch (viola), Isabel Castellvi (cello), Peter Wise (percussion) and David Broome (keyboards).

Manorexia confirmed for Portishead ATP event in Asbury Park

JG Thirlwell’s Manorexia will be playing at the All Tomorrows Parties event curated and headlined by Portishead on Oct 2nd.

The event will span a three day weekend: Sep 30th, Oct 1st and Oct 2nd. Jeff Mangum (Ex Neutral Milk Hotel) will curate and play on the 30th. October 1st and 2nd will be curated by Portishead, and they will play both nights.

This event marks All Tomorrow’s Parties return to the USA in the new location of Asbury Park, N.J., bringing an “I’ll Be Your Mirror” event to the iconic Asbury Park waterfront. This will also mark Portishead’s first East Coast appearence since 1998.

Other acts confirmed over the weekend are Battles, the Pop Group, Swans, Deerhoof, Mogwai, Shellac, Bonnie Prince Billy, Ultramagnetic MCs, Beak>, A Hawk and a Hacksaw, Cults, Earth and many more.

The new Manorexia album, Dinoflagellate Blooms, will be released in May 2011 on Ectopic Ents. The special package will contain both stereo and 5.1 mixes of the album.
