evolo5-architecture-xenoculture-0-600x767JG Thirlwell has contributed a small essay / ramble on the architecture of  New York City to the latest issue of Evolo magazine, a journal about architecture. The latest issue of this gorgeous and substantial tome is guest edited by Juan Azulay (Matter Management) and Benjamin Rice. The issue is subtitled Architecture Xenoculture, exploring  the work of architects and designers who detach from everything that architecture is supposed to be and look like, including preconceived forms and aesthetics, to look into new architectural and design possibilities.
