They will once again be playing JG Thirlwell’s second commission for them Eremikophobia, as well as pieces by Terry Riley, Michael Gordon, Missy Mazzoli, Bryce Dessner, Laurie Anderson and Steve Reich.

Entitled Eremikophobia, which means fear of deserts and sand, the multi-movement eighteen minute piece will open the evening. The evening’s program also features toy piano virtuoso Margaret Leng Tan and Portuguese instrument builder Victor Gama. To conclude, Kronos will be joined by Matmos in a tribute to Terry Riley.
